Giovanna Bernal holds a degree in Law and Political Science from Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua (2004) and a degree in Accounting from Universidad del Istmo (2023). She has successfully completed several Master’s degrees, including Business Administration (Taiwan M.B.A), Commercial Law, Higher Education, and Taxation, and Fiscal Management. She has also taken several specializations, including ITC Leiden Latin America’s Executive Program in International Tax Law, Certification (CP/AML) in the University of Florida on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, and on Prevention of Money Laundering (FIBA AML Institute) of Florida, USA.

Currently, she is an active member of several associations: The Association of Panama Compliance Officers (ASOCUPA), former President of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) Panama Branch, and a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Mrs. Bernal has been a speaker on several occasions nationally and internationally. She has extensive experience in the compliance, tax, corporate, and fiduciary sectors. Mrs. Bernal worked for ten years for a European fiduciary group in the law firm occupying the position of Senior Manager. She is currently a partner of a regulated compliance company for the prevention of money laundering: Premium Strategy and founder of Prime Solutions Tax & Legal, a provider of legal, accounting, tax and administrative services in Panama City.
